     Catherine Agnew was the daughter of James Agnew.2 She married Sir Richard Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone, 1st Bt., son of Lt.-Col. John Johnstone and Charlotte van Lore van den Bempdé, in November 1756.1 She died in 1790, without issue.1
     Catherine Agnew lived Bishop Auckland.1 She was County Durham.1 Her married name became VANDEN-BEMPDE. From November 1756, her married name became Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone.1

     Reverend Charles Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone was born on 24 August 1800.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone, 1st Bt. and Margaret Scott.2 He married Amelia Hawksworth, daughter of Reverend Richard Hawksworth, on 13 September 1827.1 He died on 15 May 1882 at age 81.1
     Reverend Charles Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He held the office of Canon of York.1
