     Maj.-Gen. Meade Edward Dennis was born on 6 August 1893.1 He was the son of Colonel Meade James Crosbie Dennis and Hon. Alice Handcock.2 He married Joan Isobel Maud Graham, daughter of Major Douglas Kingscote Graham, on 17 September 1930.1 He died on 31 January 1965 at age 71.1
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1914.1 He was with Egyptian Army in Sudan between 1920 and 1924.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in 1941 in the CRA, 6th lndian Army Division.1 He was commander of the Royal Artillery at Battle of Alamein in 1942.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1942.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1943.1 He was Major-General of the 21st Army Group, Western Europe between 1944 and 1945.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1945.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre in 1945.1 He was awarded the Officer, Legion d'Honneur in 1945.1 He retired from the military in 1947, late of the Royal Artillery.1 He lived at Fortgranite, Baltinglas, County Wicklow, IrelandG.1

John Aldham Aizlewood was born on 4 January 1895 at Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.2 He was the son of George Henry Aizlewood and Emily Aldam.1,2 He married Margaret Delia Dennis, daughter of Colonel Meade James Crosbie Dennis and Hon. Alice Handcock, on 6 January 1920.1 He died on 27 September 1990 at age 95 at Dowdeswell, Andoversford, Gloucestershire, England.2
