     Charles Edward Henry Duckett-Steuart was born on 1 March 1853.1 He was the son of William Duckett and Harriet Isabella Anne Gordon.2 He married Annie Seymour, daughter of Hon. B. Seymour, on 21 August 1873.1 He died in 1904,.1
     Charles Edward Henry Duckett-Steuart was baptised with the name of Charles Edward Henry Duckett.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 8th Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Carlow in 1879.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Carlow.1 On 1894 his name was legally changed to Charles Edward Henry Duckett-Steuart by Royal Licence.1 He lived at Rutland Lodge, County Carlow, Ireland.1
