     Noreen Charlotte Trench was born on 2 November 1899.1 She was the daughter of Colonel Ernest Frederic Crosbie Trench and Netta Wilbraham Taylor.1 She married Sir Stephen Lewis Holmes, son of Basil Holmes, on 21 January 1922.1 She died in 1990.1
     From 21 January 1922, her married name became Holmes.1

     Sir Stephen Lewis Holmes was the son of Basil Holmes.1 He married Noreen Charlotte Trench, daughter of Colonel Ernest Frederic Crosbie Trench and Netta Wilbraham Taylor, on 21 January 1922.1 He died in 1980.1
     Sir Stephen Lewis Holmes graduated from Oxford University with the degree of Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was decorated with the Military Cross (M.C.).1 He was educated at Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.).1 He held the office of U.K. High Commissioner to Australia between 1952 and 1956.1
