     Malise, 6th Earl of Strathearn was born circa 1257.1 He was the son of Malise, 5th Earl of Strathearn and Maud (?).1,2 He married Agnes Comyn, daughter of Alexander Comyn, 6th Earl of Buchan and Elizabeth de Quincy, before 1275.3 He died in 1312.1
     He gained the title of 6th Earl of Strathearn.1

Sir Walter Mansel, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Walter Mansel, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 25 July 1586.2 He was the son of Sir Francis Mansel, 1st Bt. and Catharine Morgan.2 He married Elizabeth Fotherby, daughter of Charles Fotherby, on 11 December 1623.1 He died circa April 1640.2 He was buried on 12 April 1640 at Kidwelly, WalesG.2
     He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1603 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1605.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Mansel, of Muddlescombe, co. Carmarthen [E., 1622] circa 1628.1

     Elizabeth Fotherby was the daughter of Charles Fotherby.2 She married Sir Walter Mansel, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Francis Mansel, 1st Bt. and Catharine Morgan, on 11 December 1623.1 She died on 11 September 1643.1
     From 11 December 1623, her married name became Mansel.

     Sir Francis Mansel, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 9 May 1633.2 He was the son of Sir Walter Mansel, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Fotherby.2 He died on 27 October 1654 at age 21, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Mansel, of Muddlescombe, co. Carmarthen [E., 1622] in April 1640.1

     Elizabeth Mansel was baptised on 21 October 1631.2 She was the daughter of Sir Walter Mansel, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Fotherby.2 She married Thomas Broome in 1672.1

     Thomas Broome married Elizabeth Mansel, daughter of Sir Walter Mansel, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Fotherby, in 1672.1 He died in 1673.
     He lived at Tuppendence, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was a practising Serjeant-at-Law.1

Sir Anthony Mansel1

     Sir Anthony Mansel was born after 1587. He was the son of Sir Francis Mansel, 1st Bt. and Catharine Morgan.2 He married Jane Price, daughter of William Price.1 He died on 27 October 1644, killed in action.2
     He was also known as Sir Anthony Maunsell.3 He was appointed Knight on 19 July 1629.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Glamorgan from 1630 to 1631.1 He fought in the Second Battle of Newbury on 27 October 1644, on the Royalist side.1
