Captain Richard Harward married, secondly, Julia Pellew Halsted, daughter of Admiral Sir Lawrence William Halsted and Hon. Emma Mary Pellew.2 He married, firstly, Hon. Julia Pellew, daughter of Edward Pellew, 1st Viscount Exmouth and Susannah Frowde, on 11 January 1810.1 He died on 2 May 1845.2 He was also reported to have died in May 1854.1 His will was probated on 15 August 1845.2
