Priscilla Jane Stephanie Low was born on 4 September 1949.1 She is the daughter of Toby Austin Richard William Low, 1st Baron Aldington and Felicité Ann Araminta MacMichael.1 She married Sir Hugh Ashley Roberts, son of Rt. Rev. Edward James Keymer Roberts and Dorothy Frances Bowser, on 13 December 1975.1
      Hon.      Sir Hugh Ashley Roberts is the son of Rt. Rev. Edward James Keymer Roberts and Dorothy Frances Bowser.1,2 He married Hon. Priscilla Jane Stephanie Low, daughter of Toby Austin Richard William Low, 1st Baron Aldington and Felicité Ann Araminta MacMichael, on 13 December 1975.1
     He was invested as a Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1995.3 He was a director of the Royal Collection and Surveyor of the Queen's Works of Art between 1996 and 1999.1 He was invested as a Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1998.3 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 2001.3

     Rt. Rev. Edward James Keymer Roberts married, firstly, Dorothy Frances Bowser, daughter of Rev. Canon Edwin David Bowser.2 He married, secondly, Diana Bruce, daughter of Major Ewen Cameron Bruce, in 1984.3
     He held the office of Bishop of Ely.1

     Thomas Lennard, 1st and last Earl of Essex was born on 13 May 1654.1 He was the son of Francis Lennard, 14th Lord Dacre and Elizabeth Bayning, Countess of Shepey.1 He married Lady Anne Palmer, daughter of Charles II Stuart, King of Great Britain and Barbara Villiers, Duchess of Cleveland, on 16 May 1674.1 He died on 30 October 1715 at age 61, without issue.1
     He succeeded to the title of 15th Lord Dacre [E., 1321] on 12 May 1662.1 He was created 1st Earl of Essex [England] on 5 October 1674.1 On his death death, his earldom became extinct and his barony fell into abeyance between his two daughters.1
