     Sir Hugh Ashley Roberts is the son of Rt. Rev. Edward James Keymer Roberts.¹ He married Hon. Priscilla Jane Stephanie Low, daughter of Sir Toby Austin Richard William Low, 1st Baron Aldington and Felicité Ann Araminta MacMichael, on 13 December 1975.¹
     Sir Hugh Ashley Roberts was invested as a Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1995.² He was a director of the Royal Collection and Surveyor of the Queen's Works of Art between 1996 and 1999.¹ He was invested as a Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1998.² He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 2001.²

     Rt. Rev. Edward James Keymer Roberts married, secondly, Diana Bruce, daughter of Major Ewen Cameron Bruce, in 1984.²

     Thomas Lennard, 1st Earl of Essex was born on 13 May 1654. He was the son of Francis Lennard, 14th Baron Dacre and Hon. Elizabeth Bayning. He married Lady Anne Palmer, daughter of Roger Palmer, 1st Earl of Castlemaine and Barbara Villiers, Duchess of Cleveland, on 16 May 1674. He died on 30 October 1715 at age 61.

     Hon. Lucy Ann Anthea Low was educated at Cranborne Chase School, Dorset, England.¹ She was educated at Camberwell College of Arts, London, England.¹ From 2 February 1979, her married name became Laing.¹ She lived in 1999 at Logie House, Forres, Morayshire, Scotland.¹

     Alasdair North Grant Laing is the son of Alexander Grant Laing and Graeme Elizabeth Dalrymple-Hamilton.¹ He married Hon. Lucy Ann Anthea Low, daughter of Sir Toby Austin Richard William Low, 1st Baron Aldington and Felicité Ann Araminta MacMichael, on 2 February 1979.¹

     Graeme Elizabeth Dalrymple-Hamilton is the daughter of Admiral Sir Frederick Hew George Dalrymple-Hamilton.¹
