Sir Bertram Percy Portal, son of Sir Wyndham Spencer Portal, 1st Bt. and Mary Jane Hicks-Beach, on 12 April 1899.1 She died on 7 February 1945 at age 75, following a car crash.3
      From 12 April 1899, her married name became Portal.
