     Captain Thomas Alfred Kenneth Hickman was born on 30 July 1912.1 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Thomas Edgecumbe Hickman and Elizabeth Maud Mackenzie Smith.2 He married Leila Philippa Parry-Jones, daughter of Lt.-Col. Montagu Martindale Parry-Jones and Mary Adelaide Vernon Borrowes, on 30 April 1936.1 He died on 27 May 1940 at age 27, killed in action.
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Cameronians, 13th/18th Hussars.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Fusiliers.1

     Leila Philippa Parry-Jones is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Montagu Martindale Parry-Jones and Mary Adelaide Vernon Borrowes.2,3 She married, firstly, Captain Thomas Alfred Kenneth Hickman, son of Brig.-Gen. Thomas Edgecumbe Hickman and Elizabeth Maud Mackenzie Smith, on 30 April 1936.1 She married, secondly, Major Eric Inman Scott in 1946.3
      From 30 April 1936, her married name became Hickman. From 1946, her married name became Scott.3 She lived in 2003 at Holme Cottage, Church Street, Nunnington, Yorkshire, England.1
