Captain Rowland Hill Gordon1

     Captain Rowland Hill Gordon was born on 25 February 1833 at Nairn, Banffshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. William Alexander Gordon and Mary Annie Gordon.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Rose Manson, daughter of David Davidson Manson, on 8 July 1856 at Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland.2 He and Elizabeth Rose Manson were divorced in 1869.2 He married Sarah Ann Forwood in 1876.2 He died on 1 June 1888 at age 55 at Rue de Chapitre, St. Servan, Britanny, France.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 42nd Highlanders.1

     Harriette Manson Gordon was born on 14 July 1857 at New Synie, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Captain Rowland Hill Gordon and Elizabeth Rose Manson.3,2 She married, firstly, Sir Charles Henry Tempest, 1st and last Bt., son of Henry Tempest and Jemima de Trafford, on 1 June 1874.1 She and Sir Charles Henry Tempest, 1st and last Bt. were divorced in 1878.1 She married, secondly, William Jones King, son of William Jones King and Jeannie Pratt, on 27 April 1889 at Marylebone, London, England.2 She died on 3 January 1891 at age 33, without issue.2
     From 1 June 1874, her married name became Tempest. From 27 April 1889, her married name became King.2

     Eleanor Blanche Reynard is the daughter of Edward Horner Reynard.2 She married Major Arthur Cecil Tempest, son of Henry Tempest and Jemima de Trafford, on 28 April 1873.1

     Colonel Roger Stephen Tempest was born on 26 May 1876.1 He was the son of Major Arthur Cecil Tempest and Eleanor Blanche Reynard.2 He married Valerie Arthur Glover, daughter of Arthur Leone Glover, on 31 October 1912.1 He died on 12 February 1948 at age 71.1
     He was educated at The Oratory School, Woodcote, Reading, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Stonyhurst College, Blackburn, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kesteven in 1899.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet Colonel War 1900 in the Scots Guards.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre avec palmes.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918.1 He sold the Coleby estate.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the West Riding, Yorkshire in 1934.1 He lived at Broughton Hall, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1

     Henry Roger Tempest was born on 2 April 1924.1 He was the son of Colonel Roger Stephen Tempest and Valerie Arthur Glover.2 He married Janet Evelyn Mary Longton, daughter of Harold Longton, on 18 January 1957.1 He died on 6 May 2017 at age 93.3
