Rowland Richard Clegg-Hill, 4th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke was born on 12 February 1863.1 He was the son of Rowland Clegg-Hill, 3rd Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke and Mary Madax.2 He married Ann Irwin, daughter of William Irwin, in July 1890.1 He died on 19 December 1923 at age 60, without issue.1
He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the County of London.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke, co. Salop. [U.K., 1842] on 30 March 1895.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Hill of Almarez and of Hardwicke, co. Salop. [U.K., 1816] on 30 March 1895.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Hill [G.B., 1727] on 30 March 1895.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Royal Warwicks Regiment.1

Ann Irwin was the daughter of William Irwin.2 She married Rowland Richard Clegg-Hill, 4th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke, son of Rowland Clegg-Hill, 3rd Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke and Mary Madax, in July 1890.1 She died on 10 January 1937.1
From July 1890, her married name became Clegg-Hill. As a result of her marriage, Ann Irwin was styled as Viscountess Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke on 30 March 1895.

Francis William Clegg-Hill, 5th Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke was born on 4 November 1866.1 He was the son of Rowland Clegg-Hill, 3rd Viscount Hill of Hawkestone and of Hardwicke and Mary Madax.2 He married Caroline Anna Corbett, daughter of Captain Frank Corbett, on 5 September 1905.1 He died on 6 July 1924 at age 57, without issue.1
