     Eliza Rebecca Taylor was the daughter of Thomas Taylor.2 She married Surgn.-Maj. Edward Acton Gibbon, son of William Monk Gibbon and Anne Boxwell, on 14 March 1875.1 She died on 4 February 1920.1
     From 14 March 1875, her married name became Gibbon.

Colonel Charles Monk Gibbon1

     Colonel Charles Monk Gibbon was the son of Surgn.-Maj. Edward Acton Gibbon and Eliza Rebecca Taylor.2 He married Margaret Crampton, daughter of Alfred Crampton, on 9 July 1910.1 He died on 16 November 1937.1
     On 1 November 1877 (an unknown value.)1 He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He was Chief of General Staff, New Zealnad in 1914.1 He was Director of Military Organisation and GSO (1) in 1914.1 He fought in the First World War, with New Zealand Military Forces.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918.1 He gained the rank of GSO (1) in 1919.1 He retired from the military in 1920, with the rank of officer, late of the Royal Irish Fusiliers.1 He lived at Sleedagh, County Wexford, IrelandG.1

     From 2 June 1910, her married name became Gibbon.1
