     Eliza Amelia Gore was the daughter of General Hon. Sir Charles Stephen Gore and Sarah Rachel Fraser.1 She married Major William Harry Hay, 19th Earl of Erroll, son of Sir William George Hay, 18th Earl of Erroll and Elizabeth Fitz-Clarence, on 20 September 1848.2 She died on 11 March 1916.1
     Eliza Amelia Gore held the office of Lady of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Victoria.1 She was invested as a Lady, Royal Order of Victoria and Albert (V.A.).1 From 20 September 1848, her married name became Hay. As a result of her marriage, Eliza Amelia Gore was styled as Countess of Erroll on 20 September 1848.
