     Michael Jeremy Gurney was born on 3 November 1946.1 He is the son of Jeremy Christopher Gurney and Elizabeth Anne Hay.1 He married Hon. Diana Miranda Cumming-Bruce, daughter of Francis Edward Hovell-Thurlow-Cumming-Bruce, 8th Baron Thurlow of Thurlow, on 14 February 1981.1 He and Hon. Diana Miranda Cumming-Bruce were divorced in 1997.1
