     Captain Frederic Augustus Drake was the son of A. F. Drake.2 He married Hon. Isabel Julia Adderley, daughter of Henry Arden Adderley, 5th Baron Norton and Grace Stopford Sackville, on 30 April 1914.1 He died on 26 May 1918, drowned on a transport.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Warwickshire Yeomanry.1

     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the King's Royal Riifle Corps.1 He lived at The Bell House, Little Tew, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1

     He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Worcestershire Regiment.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1

     Elizabeth Birkbeck was born circa 1888 at London, England.2 She was the daughter of William John Birkbeck and Rose Katherine Gurney.3,2 She married Hubert Bowyer Arden Adderley, 6th Baron Norton, son of Henry Arden Adderley, 5th Baron Norton and Grace Stopford Sackville, on 9 January 1912.1 She died on 5 May 1952.1
     From 9 January 1912, her married name became Arden. After her marriage, Elizabeth Birkbeck was styled as Baroness Norton on 1 January 1945.

     John Arden Adderley, 7th Baron Norton was born on 24 November 1915.1 He was the son of Hubert Bowyer Arden Adderley, 6th Baron Norton and Elizabeth Birkbeck.2 He married Betty Margaret Hannah, daughter of James McKee Hannah and Margaret Goldstone, on 23 July 1946.1 He died on 24 September 1993 at age 77.1,3
     He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1938 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Norton, of Norton-on-the-Moors, co. Stafford [U.K., 1878] on 17 February 1961.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1964.1
