     Anna Maria Tinling was born on 24 December 1799.3 She was the daughter of William Tinling and Frances Pierson.1,2 She married Sir Frederick Thesiger, 1st Baron Chelmsford of Chelmsford, son of Charles Thesiger and Mary Anne Williams, on 9 March 1822 at All Saints' Church, Southampton, Hampshire, England.2 She died on 9 April 1875 at age 75 at 7 Eaton Square, London, England.3 She was buried at Brompton Cemetery, Brompton, Middlesex, England.3
     Her married name became Thesiger. As a result of her marriage, Anna Maria Tinling was styled as Baroness Chelmsford of Chelmsford on 1 March 1858.
