     Hon. Ada Oliphant Murray was born on 22 June 1843 at Eddlestone, Peebles-shire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of Alexander Oliphant Murray, 9th Lord Elibank and Emily Maria Montgomery.1 She died in February 1852 at age 8.1

     Sir William Maudaunt Edward Milner, 5th Bt. was born on 20 June 1820 at Bolton Percy, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Sir William Mordaunt Sturt Milner, 4th Bt. and Harriet Elizabeth Cavendish-Bentinck. He married Lady Georgiana Anne Lumley, daughter of Frederick Lumley-Savile and Charlotte Mary Beresford, on 16 April 1844. He died on 12 February 1867 at age 46.
     He gained the title of 5th Baronet Milner.

She married Sir William Maudaunt Edward Milner, 5th Bt., son of Sir William Mordaunt Sturt Milner, 4th Bt. and Harriet Elizabeth Cavendish-Bentinck, on 16 April 1844. She died on 2 February 1877.
      Her married name became Milner.

     Charles William Frederick Hope, 3rd Marquess of Linlithgow was born on 7 April 1912.1 He was the son of Victor Alexander John Hope, 2nd Marquess of Linlithgow and Doreen Maud Milner. He married, firstly, Vivien Kenyon-Slaney, daughter of Major Robert Orlando Rodolph Kenyon-Slaney and Lady Mary Cecilia Rhodesia Hamilton, on 24 July 1939.1 He married, secondly, Judith Lawson, daughter of Stanley Matthew Lawson, on 15 February 1965.2 He died in 1987.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1936 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1940, where he became a POW.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Lothian an Border Horse, Royal armoured Corps (TA).1 He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.).1 He succeeded to the title of 9th Viscount of Aithrie [S., 1703] on 5 January 1952.3 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Marquess of Linlithgow [U.K., 1902] on 5 January 1952.1 He succeeded to the title of 9th Earl of Hopetoun [S., 1703] on 5 January 1952.3 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baron Niddry of Niddry, co. Linlithgow [U.K., 1814] on 5 January 1952.3 He succeeded to the title of 9th Lord Hope [S., 1703] on 5 January 1952.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of West Lothian between 1964 and 1987.1

     Andrew Victor Arthur Charles Hope, Earl of Hopetoun was born on 22 May 1969.1 He is the son of Adrian John Charles Hope, 4th Marquess of Linlithgow and Anne Pamela Leveson.1 He married Skye Laurette Bovill, daughter of Major Bristow Charles Bovill and Kerry Anne Reynolds, on 10 July 1993.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He held the office of Page of Honour to HM The Queen Mother between 1984 and 1986.1 He was styled as Earl of Hopetoun in 1987.1 He was educated at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1

     Judith Lawson was the daughter of Stanley Matthew Lawson.1 She married, firstly, John Symonds Radway before 1960.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Esmond Charles Baring, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Guy Victor Baring and Olive Althea Smith, on 21 January 1960.1 She married, thirdly, Charles William Frederick Hope, 3rd Marquess of Linlithgow, son of Victor Alexander John Hope, 2nd Marquess of Linlithgow and Doreen Maud Milner, on 15 February 1965.1 She died in 1991.1
      From before 1960, her married name became Radway.1 Her married name became Baring. From 15 February 1965, her married name became Hope.

      From 9 January 1968, her married name became Hope. From 10 August 1978, her married name became Sackville.4 As a result of her marriage, Anne Pamela Leveson was styled as Countess De La Warr in 1988.
