     Cecilia Wyndham was baptised on 1 November 1829 at Cromer, Norfolk, EnglandG.3 She was the daughter of George Thomas Wyndham and Maria Augusta Windham.1 She married General Lord Alfred Henry Paget, son of Field Marshal Henry William Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey and Lady Charlotte Cadogan, on 8 April 1847.1 She died on 3 May 1914 at age 84 at Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1,3
     Her married name became Paget. She lived in 1911 at 56 Queen Anne Street, London, EnglandG.3

     Percy Ronald Gardner Bernard, 5th Earl of Bandon was born on 30 August 1904.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Ronald Percy Hamilton Bernard and Lettice Mina Paget.1 He married, firstly, Maybel Elizabeth Playfair, daughter of Raymond Playfair, on 28 February 1933 at Nairobi Cathedral, Nairobi, KenyaG.2 He and Maybel Elizabeth Playfair were divorced in 1946.2 He married, secondly, Lois Russell, daughter of Francis Russell, on 2 October 1946.2 He died on 8 February 1979 at age 74, without male issue.2
     He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Air Force College, Cranwell, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Bernard [I., 1800] on 18 May 1924.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Bandon [I., 1800] on 18 May 1924.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Bandon, of Bandonbridge, co. Cork [I., 1793] on 18 May 1924. He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Bandon, of Bandonbridge, co. Cork [I., 1795] on 18 May 1924.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945, and was mentioned in despatches three times.3 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1940.3 He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.)3 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1945.3 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1953.3 He was Commander-in-Chief of the 2nd Tactical Air Force between 1955 and 1957.3 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1957.3 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Far East Air Forces between June 1957 and November 1960.3 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1960.3 He was Commander of the Allied Air Forces, Central Europe between 1961 and 1963.3
     On his death, his titles became extinct.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.4

     Maybel Elizabeth Playfair is the daughter of Raymond Playfair.1 She married, firstly, Percy Ronald Gardner Bernard, 5th Earl of Bandon, son of Lt.-Col. Ronald Percy Hamilton Bernard and Lettice Mina Paget, on 28 February 1933 at Nairobi Cathedral, Nairobi, KenyaG.1 She and Percy Ronald Gardner Bernard, 5th Earl of Bandon were divorced in 1946.1 She married, secondly, Sir Reginald Culcheth Holcroft, 2nd Bt., son of Sir George Harry Holcroft, 1st Bt. and Annie Gertrude Coombes, on 20 October 1965.1
     Maybel Elizabeth Playfair also went by the nick-name of Betty. After her marriage, Maybel Elizabeth Playfair was styled as Countess of Bandon on 28 February 1933. From 28 February 1933, her married name became Bernard. From 20 October 1965, her married name became Holcroft.1
