James Riley Holt Hutchison of Rossie, 1st Bt. was born on 10 April 1893.1 He was the son of Thomas Holt Hutchison and Florence Riley.2 He married, firstly, Dorothy Joan Surtees, daughter of Major Henry Siward Balliol Surtees, on 1 March 1920.1 He and Dorothy Joan Surtees were divorced in 1922.1 He married, secondly, Winefryde Eleanor Mary Craft, daughter of Reverend Richard Henry Craft, on 31 July 1928.1 He died in 1979.1
