     He was a civil engineer.1 He was Ministry of Munitions Representative to the US and Comptroller of Munitions and Inventions during the First World War.1 He was awarded the Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers (T.)1 He was head of Ernest William Moir & Company.1 He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.)1 He was director of S. Pearson and Sons, contractors.1 He was created 1st Baronet Moir, of Whitehanger, Fernhurst, Sussex [U.K.] on 11 July 1916.1

     From 14 June 1913, her married name became Latham. After her marriage, Maya Helen Allman was styled as Baroness Latham on 16 January 1942.

Francis Charles Allman Latham was born on 24 January 1917.1 He was the son of Charles Latham, 1st Baron Latham and Maya Helen Allman.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Fuller, daughter of Ernest Fuller, in July 1942.1 He married, secondly, Eleanor Roma Roseman, daughter of Isadore Roseman, in August 1944. He and Eleanor Roma Roseman were divorced in 1950. He married, thirdly, Gabrielle Monica O'Riordan, daughter of Dr. S. M. O'Riordan, in 1951. He died in November 1959 at age 42.1
     He was educated at Dauntsey's School, West Lavington, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army (Warwickshire Yeomanry and Royal Army Service Corps.)1
