     Sir Richard Ernest Butler Lloyd, 2nd Bt. was born on 6 December 1928.¹ He is the son of Major Sir Ernest Guy Richard Lloyd, 1st Bt. and Helen Kynaston Greg.² He married Jennifer Susan Margaret Cardiff, daughter of Brigadier Ereld Boteler Wingfield Cardiff, on 6 June 1955.¹
     He was commnd Black , Captain and Aide-de-Camp to General Officer Commanding Malaya 1948–49, dir Glyn, Mills and County 1964–70, ch exec Williams and Glyn's Bank 1970–78, dep chairman Hill Samuel and County 1978–80 (ch exec 1980–87, chairman 1987–91), ch Watch 1948.¹ He lived Rhu.¹ He was County Dunbarton.¹ He was Governor Ditchley Fndn, Pres Br Heart Fndn.¹ He graduated in 1952 with a Wellington and Hertford College Oxford Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) , Master of Arts (M.A.) 1957).¹ He was memb: Ind Devpt Advisy Board , NEDC 1973–77, Cncl CBI 1978–96, Overseas Projects Board 1981–85, Advsy Board Royal College Def Studies 1987–95 in 1972.¹ He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Lloyd in 1987.³ In 1988 non exec dir SIEBE plc.¹ He lived in 2003 at Sundridge Place, Sundridge, Kent, England.¹
