Major Ernest Thomas Lloyd was born on 7 July 1860.2 He was the son of William Butler Lloyd and Jane Emilia Hunt.3 He married Ethel Mary Green-Price, daughter of Sir Richard Dansey Green-Price, 2nd Bt. and Clara Anne Powell, on 20 August 1889.1 He died on 7 January 1935 at age 74.1
He graduated with a Charterhouse, Shrewsbury and Ch Ch Oxford Master of Arts (M.A.).2 He was in the Bengal Civil Service.1 Barrister.2 He was in the Indian Civil Service Bengal , Ch Constable York 1893–97, RM Ireland 1897–1910, WW I as Major King's Shropshire LI (Res Bn), Cmdt POW Camp 1914–18 in 1887.2
