     Terence John Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 2nd Marquess of Dufferin and Ava was born on 16 March 1866. He was the son of Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava and Hariot Georgina Rowan-Hamilton. He married Florence Davis, daughter of John H. Davis, on 16 October 1893. He died on 11 February 1919 at age 52 at Putney, London, England, from double pneumonia.¹

     Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava was born on 21 June 1826 at Florence, Italy.³ He was the son of Price Blackwood, 4th Baron Dufferin and Helen Selina Sheridan.² He married Hariot Georgina Rowan-Hamilton, daughter of Archibald Rowan Rowan-Hamilton and Catherine Anne Caldwell, on 23 October 1862.⁴ He died on 12 February 1902 at age 75 at Clandeboye, Ireland.³
     Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava was invested as a Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.).⁴ He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).⁴ He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.).⁴ He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.).⁴ He was invested as a Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (G.C.I.E.).⁴ He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).⁴ He was invested as a Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.).⁴ He gained the title of 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava. He was baptised with the name of Frederick Temple Blackwood.¹ On 9 September 1862 his name was legally changed to Frederick Temple Hamilton-Blackwood by Royal Licence.¹ On 13 November 1872 his name was legally changed to Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood by Royal Licence.¹

     Hariot Georgina Rowan-Hamilton was the daughter of Archibald Rowan Rowan-Hamilton and Catherine Anne Caldwell.² She married Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava, son of Price Blackwood, 4th Baron Dufferin and Helen Selina Sheridan, on 23 October 1862.¹ She died on 25 October 1936.¹
     Hariot Georgina Rowan-Hamilton was invested as a Imperial Order of the Crown of India (C.I.).¹ She was decorated with the award of Grand Commander, Order of the Shefkat of Turkey.¹ She was decorated with the award of Order of the Lion and Sun of Persia.¹ She was invested as a Lady, Royal Order of Victoria and Albert (V.A.).¹ Her married name became Hamilton-Blackwood. From 13 November 1872, her married name became Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood. She was invested as a Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1917.¹

     Emma May Hardinge is the daughter of Bradford Hardinge and Caroline Jane Christiana Edwards. She married George Lawrence Stewart, son of Alexander John Robert Stewart, on 2 May 1911.
     Her married name became Stewart.

     Archibald James Leofric Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, Earl of Ava was born on 28 July 1863. He was the son of Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava and Hariot Georgina Rowan-Hamilton. He died on 11 January 1900 at age 36 at Ladysmith, South Africa, mortally wounded.
     Archibald James Leofric Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, Earl of Ava was styled as Earl of Ava.

     Ian Basil Gawaine Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood was born on 4 November 1870. He was the son of Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava and Hariot Georgina Rowan-Hamilton. He died on 3 July 1917 at age 46, killed in action.

     Frances Anne Hardinge was born in 1819. She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Richard Hardinge and Anne Papillon. She died on 15 September 1891, unmarried.
