     Isabella Macdonald was the daughter of Colonel Alexander MacDonald, 3rd of Boisdale and Marion Maclean.2 She married Lt.-Col. Charles Cadell, son of John Cadell of Cockenzie, on 10 November 1829.1 She died in 1874 at Bedford, Bedfordshire, England, without issue.3
     From 10 November 1829, her married name became Cadell.

     Gavin Crichton was the son of James Crichton, 2nd Lord Crichton and Lady Janet Dunbar.1 He married Margaret Cockburn.1 He died before 22 November 1493.1
     On 24 January 1477 he had a charter of lands of Dumfries-shire.1 In 1484 he was forfeit for rebellion.1

Lt.-Col. Charles Cadell1

     Lt.-Col. Charles Cadell was the son of John Cadell of Cockenzie.2 He married Isabella Macdonald, daughter of Colonel Alexander MacDonald, 3rd of Boisdale and Marion Maclean, on 10 November 1829.1 He died on 7 March 1866 at Jersey, Channel Islands.3,1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 28th (Gloucestershire) Regiment.1 He was appointed Knight, Hanoverian Order (K.H.)1

     Major Samuel Hill Lawrence married Margaret Macdonald, daughter of Colonel Alexander MacDonald, 3rd of Boisdale and Marion Maclean, in 1829 at Guernsey, Channel Islands.2
     He was He had one other son and a daughter.1 He lived at Millmount, Nenagh, County Tipperary, Ireland.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 32nd Regiment.1

     Colonel Donald Macdonald was the son of Colin Macdonald, 2nd of Boisdale and Margaret Campbell.2 He married May Innes, daughter of William Innes of Sandyside.1 He died circa 1797, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 92nd Regiment (Gordon Highlanders.)1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1795.1 He started raising a line regiment (the Macdonald Regiment), but died before recruiting completed.1

     Hector Macdonald Buchanan of Drumkill and Ross Priory was the son of Colin Macdonald, 2nd of Boisdale and Margaret Campbell.2 He married Jean Buchanan, daughter of Robert Buchanan of Drumkill and Ross Priory.1 He died in 1835.1
     He was representative of Uist Presbytery in the General Assembly.1 He lived at Ross, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.2 He was a principal Clerk of Session of Scotland.1 He was given the name of Hector Macdonald at birth.1 He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)1 He had five sons and three other daughters (all died unmarred.)1
