     William Palmer was born on 12 July 1811.1 He was the son of Reverend William Jocelyn Palmer and Dorothea Richardson Roundell.1 He died on 4 April 1879 at age 67 at Rome, Italy.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.2 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was a theologian and archæologist.1 He wrote the book Harmony of Anglican Doctrine with the Doctrine of the Eastern Churc, published 1846.1 He wrote the book An Appeal to the Scottish Bishops and Clergy, and generally to the Church of their Communion, published 1849.1 In 1855 he became a Roman Catholic.2

     Sir George Murray Home Stirling, 9th Bt. was born in September 1869. He was the son of Sir Charles Elphinstone Fleming Stirling, 8th Bt. and Anne Georgina Murray. He married Mabel Elizabeth Sprot, daughter of Sir Alexander Sprot, 1st Bt. and Ethel Florence Thorp. He died on 1 May 1949 at age 79.
     He gained the title of 9th Baronet Stirling.
