     Anne Maclellan is the daughter of Robert Maclellan, 1st Lord Kirkcudbright.1 She married Sir Robert Maxwell of Orchardtoun, 1st Bt., son of Sir Robert Maxwell of Spottis, before February 1639/40.1
     She was also known as Marion.1 From before February 1639/40, her married name became Maxwell.1

     Alexander Fraser, 8th of Philorth was born circa 1537.2 He was the son of Alexander Fraser and Beatrice Keith.3 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Maxwell, daughter of Sir John Maxwell and Agnes Herries, Lady Herries of Terregles.4 He married, firstly, Magdalen Ogilvie, daughter of Sir Walter Ogilvie of Dunlugas, circa 1559.1 He died in July 1623.1
     He was Commissioner of S Parl for Aberdeenshire, built the town of Fraserburgh but obliged to sell a large part of his estates to various Fraser cousins.2 On 31 May 1606 married 2nd (contract ) Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Sir John Maxwell by Lady Herries of Terregles (qv) and widow of Sir John Gordon of Lochinvar.2
