     He lived at Thirlestane, Selkirkshire, ScotlandG.3

     Sir Francis Scott of Thirlestane, 1st Bt. was born on 11 May 1645.1 He was the son of Patrick Scott of Tanlawhill and Isabel Murray.2 A contract for the marriage of Sir Francis Scott of Thirlestane, 1st Bt. and Lady Henrietta Kerr was signed on 27 November 1673.1 He died on 7 March 1712 at age 66.1
     He was created 1st Baronet Scott, of Thirlestane [Nova Scotia] on 22 August 1666.1
