     Mary Isabella Symonds was the daughter of John Addington Symonds and Harriet Sykes.2 She married Sir Edward Strachey, 3rd Bt., son of Edward Strachey and Julia Woobine Kirkpatrick, on 3 November 1857 at Clifton, Bristol, England.1 She died on 5 October 1883.2
     From 3 November 1857, her married name became Strachey.1

     John St. Loe Strachey was born on 9 February 1860 at Clifton, Bristol, England.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Strachey, 3rd Bt. and Mary Isabella Symonds.1 He married Henrietta Mary Amy Simpson, daughter of Charles Turner Simpson, on 13 July 1887 at Kensington, London, England.1 He died on 28 August 1927 at age 67.2
     John St. Loe Strachey usually went by his middle name of St. Loe.2 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1884 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1,2 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1885 entitled to practise as a barrister.2 He was editor of The Spectator between 1887 and 1925.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Surrey.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Surrey in 1914.2

     Henrietta Mary Amy Simpson was born in 1866.1 She was the daughter of Charles Turner Simpson.2 She married John St. Loe Strachey, son of Sir Edward Strachey, 3rd Bt. and Mary Isabella Symonds, on 13 July 1887 at Kensington, London, England.1 She died on 22 October 1957.2
     She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)2 From 13 July 1887, her married name became Strachey.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.2
