Edward Strachey, 1st Baron Strachie 1
     Edward Strachey, 1st Baron Strachie was born on 30 October 1858 at Clifton, Bristol, England.2 He was the son of Sir Edward Strachey, 3rd Bt. and Mary Isabella Symonds.2 He married Constance Braham, daughter of Charles Bampfylde Braham, on 17 January 1880.3 He died on 25 July 1936 at age 77.3
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1877 and 1882 in the 4th Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry.3 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Somerset South between 1892 and 1911.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Strachey, of Sutton Court [U.K., 1801] on 24 September 1901.3 He held the office of Treasurer of the Household between 1905 and 1909.2 He was Parliamentary Secretary, Board of Agriculture and Fisheries between 1909 and 1911.3 He gained the title of 1st Baron Strachie, of Sutton Court, co. Somerset [U.K.] on 3 November 1911.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1912.2 He held the office of Paymaster-General between 1912 and 1915.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Somerset.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset.3

Constance Braham

     Constance Braham was the daughter of Charles Bampfylde Braham.1 She married Edward Strachey, 1st Baron Strachie, son of Sir Edward Strachey, 3rd Bt. and Mary Isabella Symonds, on 17 January 1880.1 She died on 22 December 1936.1
     Her married name became Strachey. After her marriage, Constance Braham was styled as Baroness Strachie on 3 November 1911.

     Hon. Thomas Anthony Edward Towneley Strachey was born on 13 September 1917.1 He was the son of Maurice Herbert Towneley Towneley-O'Hagan, 3rd Baron O'Hagan of Tullahogue and Hon. Frances Constance Maddalena Strachey.1 He married Lady Mary Sophia Palmer, daughter of Roundell Cecil Palmer, 3rd Earl of Selborne and Hon. Grace Ridley, on 11 November 1944.1 He died on 23 December 1955 at age 38.1
     He was given the name of Thomas Anthony Edward Towneley-O'Hagan at birth.1 Hon. Thomas Anthony Edward Towneley Strachey usually went by his middle name of Anthony.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 On 13 September 1938 his name was legally changed to Thomas Anthony Edward Towneley Strachey by Deed Poll.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1939 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1941 in the Somerset Light Infantry, attached to 6th/12th Frontier Force Regiment (IA.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1941 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Major between 1943 and 1944 in the Special Forces ME and Balkans.1 He was GSO(2) with the War Office in 1945.1 He was Secretary CLA for Somerset between 1946 and 1949.1 He was assistant agricultural economist between 1949 and 1950 at Bristol University, Bristol, England.1 He was resident land agent to teh Earl of Selborne between 1951 and 1953.1

     Captain Robin Rathmore Plunket, 8th Baron Plunket of Newton was born on 3 December 1925.1 He was the son of Terence Conyngham Plunket, 6th Baron Plunket of Newton and Dorothée Mabel Lewis.2 He married Jennifer Southwell, daughter of Bailey Southwell and Erica Barry, on 8 November 1951.1 He died on 16 November 2013 at age 87.3
