     Julia Woobine Kirkpatrick was born in 1791.1 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. William Kirkpatrick and Maria Seton Pawson.1 She married Edward Strachey, son of Sir Henry Strachey, 1st Bt. and Jane Kelsall.1 She died in 1847.1
     Her married name became Strachey.1

     Jane Kelsall was born in 1738.1 She was the daughter of John Kelsall.2 She married, firstly, Captain Thomas Latham.2 She married, secondly, Sir Henry Strachey, 1st Bt., son of Henry Strachey and Helen Clerk, on 23 May 1770.2 She died in 1824.1
     Her married name became Latham.2 From 23 May 1770, her married name became Strachey.2

     Sir Edward Strachey, 3rd Bt. was born on 12 August 1812 at Sutton Court, Chew Magna, Somerset, England.1 He was the son of Edward Strachey and Julia Woobine Kirkpatrick.1 He married, firstly, Elisabeth Wilkinson, daughter of Reverend W. Wilkinson, in 1844 at Clifton, Gloucestershire, England.1 He married, secondly, Mary Isabella Symonds, daughter of John Addington Symonds and Harriet Sykes, on 3 November 1857 at Clifton, Gloucestershire, England.1 He died on 24 September 1901 at age 89 at Sutton Court, Chew Magna, Somerset, England.1
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Strachey. He wrote the book A Commentary on the Marriage Service, published 1843.2 He wrote the book Shakespeare's Hamlet: an Attempt to find a Key to a great Moral Problem, published 1848.2 He wrote the book Jewish History and Politics, published 1874.2

     Sir John Strachey was born on 5 June 1823 at London, England.1 He was the son of Edward Strachey and Julia Woobine Kirkpatrick.1 He married Katherine Jane Batten, daughter of George H. M. Batten, on 8 October 1856.3 He died on 19 December 1907 at age 84 at London, England.1
     He was appointed Knight in 1872.3 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of the North-West Provinces between 1874 and 1876.3 He was appointed Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.) in 1878.3 He held the office of Member of the Secretary of State's Council of India between 1885 and 1895.3 He wrote the book India, published 1888.3 He wrote the book Hastings and the Rohilla War, published 1892.3 He was with the Bengal Civil Service.1

     She gained the rank of 3rd officer in the Women's Royal Naval Service.1 From 27 January 1945, her married name became Pinsent.1
