     Arthur Rose was the son of Hugh Rose, 14th of Kilravock and Marie Forbes.2 He died on 12 November 1715 at Inverness, Inverness-shire, Scotland, killed in action.1
     He was a merchant adventurer.1 For some years he was a slave in Algiers.1 In 1714 he was ransomed.1 He fought in the Battle of Inverness on 12 November 1715.1
