Captain Crofton Thomas Burton Vandeleur was born on 20 February 1842.2 He was the son of Crofton Thomas Croasdaile Vandeleur.2 He married Hon. Maletta Yelverton, daughter of Barry John Yelverton, 3rd Viscount Avonmore and Cecilia O'Keefe, on 7 October 1868.1
