     Tristram Cosmo Barran was born on 17 July 1945.¹ He is the son of Sir David Haven Barran and Jane Lechmere Macaskie.¹ He married Miranda Clare Frances Mitchell Cotts, daughter of Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton, on 5 November 1973.¹ He died in 1992, in a motor accident.¹
