     Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. was born on 20 October 1903.3 He was the son of Sir William Dingwall Mitchell Cotts, 1st Bt. and Agnes Nivison Sloane.2 He married Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton, daughter of Captain Herbert John Anthony Throckmorton and Ethel Mary Stapleton-Bretherton, on 14 October 1942.3 He died on 17 January 1995 at age 91 at Stowmarket, Suffolk, England.3,4
