     Ruth Evelyn Howard was born on 10 December 1877. She was the daughter of Sir Edward Stafford Howard and Lady Rachel Anne Georgina Campbell.1 She married, firstly, Gardner Sebastian Bazley, son of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner, on 5 January 1903.1 She married, secondly, Commander Francis Charles Cadogan, son of Captain Hon. Charles George Henry Cadogan and Henriette Wilhelmina Montgomery, on 2 September 1913.1 She died on 14 March 1962 at age 84.1
     From 5 January 1903, her married name became Bazley. From 2 September 1913, her married name became Cadogan.
