     Lt.-Col. Oswald Henry Philip Turville-Petre was born on 27 May 1862.2 He was the son of Edward Henry Petre and Lady Gwendoline Elizabeth Talbot.2 He married Margaret Lucy Cave, daughter of Laurence Trent Cave and Lucy Greenwood, on 24 January 1899.2 He died on 16 June 1941 at age 79.2
