Captain Sir Lionel Francis Phillips, 2nd Bt. was born on 9 March 1914.2 He was the son of Captain Harold Lionel Phillips and Hilda Wildman Hills.3 He married Camilla Mary Parker, daughter of Captain Hugh Algernon Parker and Averil Frances Tower, on 2 September 1939.1 He died on 6 July 1944 at age 30 at Italy, killed in action.2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was a Chartered Accountant (C.A.).2 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Phillips, of Tynley Hall, Rotherwick, co. Southampton [U.K., 1912] on 2 July 1936.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Artillery.2
