     William Henry Leatham was born on 6 July 1815 at Wakefield, Yorkshire, West Riding, England.1 He was the son of William Leatham.1 He married Priscilla Gurney, daughter of Samuel Gurney and Elizabeth Sheppard. He died on 14 November 1889 at age 74 at Carlton, Pontefract, Yorkshire, England.1
     He wrote the book Sandal in the Olden Time.1 He wrote the book The Victim, A Tale of the Lake of the Four Cantons, published 1841.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wakefield in 1859.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wakefield between 1865 and 1868.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the Southern Riding, Yorkshire between 1880 and 1885.1
