     Hon. Alexander Victor Frederick Villiers Russell was born on 27 June 1874.1 He was the son of Odo William Leopold Russell, 1st Baron Ampthill and Lady Emily Theresa Villiers.1 He married Marjorie Gladys Guinness, daughter of Claude Hume Campbell Guinness and Gladys Helen Louisa Rowley, on 11 February 1909.2 He died on 3 January 1965 at age 90.1
     He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of brevet Major in 1899 in the Grenadier Guards.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1908.1 He was General Staff Officer of the War Office between 1908 and 1910.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He held the office of Military Attaché to Berne (with the rank of Brigadier-General) between 1919 and 1920.1 In 1920 he went on a special mission to Chile.1 He held the office of Romanian Boundary Commissioner between 1921 and 1926.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1926.1 He was a director of Sun Insurance Office.1

     Gladys Helen Louisa Rowley was born circa 1866.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Hon. Hercules Langford Boyle Rowley and Louisa Jane Campbell.3 She married Claude Hume Campbell Guinness, son of Richard Samuel Guinness and Katherine Frances Jenkinson, on 5 May 1887.1 She died on 23 March 1891.1
     From 5 May 1887, her married name became Guinness.

     Colonel Hon. Hercules Langford Boyle Rowley was born on 19 June 1828.2 He was the son of Hercules Langford Rowley, 2nd Baron Langford of Summerhill and Louisa Augusta Rhodes.2 He married Louisa Jane Campbell, daughter of Archibald Campbell, 17th of Mains and 12th of Blythswood and Caroline Agnes Dick, on 3 November 1857.2 He died on 20 March 1904 at age 75.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 6th Dragoons.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Meath in 1859.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 5th Battalion, Leinster Regiment.2 He lived at Marlay Grange, County Dublin, Ireland.2
