     James Grierson was born on 10 October 1827.1 He married Margaret Emily (?) circa 1858.2 He died on 7 October 1887 at age 59 at Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England.1,3 He was buried on 12 October 1887 at Barnes Cemetery, Barnes, London, England.1
     James Grierson was general mananger and engineer-in-chief of the Great Western Railway.1,4 He lived at Holland-villas Road, Kensington, London, England.2 He had three other children.2
