     Charles Lyell, 3rd Baron Lyell was born on 27 March 1939.1 He was the son of Captain Charles Antony Lyell, 2nd Baron Lyell, V.C. and Sophie Mary Trafford.2 He died on 10 January 2017 at age 77.3
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Lyell, of Kinnordy, co. Forfar [U.K., 1914] on 27 April 1943.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Lyell, of Kinnordy, co. Forfar [U.K., 1894] on 27 April 1943.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant between 1957 and 1959 in the Scots Guards.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers in 1975.1 He was a chartered accountant.1 He held the office of Lord-in-Waiting between 1979 and 1984.1 He was admitted to Parliamentary Under-Secretary, Northern Ireland between 1984 and 1989.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Angus in 1988.1 He lived in 2003 at Kinnordy, Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland.1 On his death, his titles became extinct.

     Archibald Hamilton was the son of Malcolm Hamilton.1 He married Hon. Anne Balfour, daughter of James Balfour, 1st Lord Balfour, Baron of Glenawley and Grisold Balfour, before 1639.1 He died on 10 March 1659, without issue.1
     He lived at Ballygally, County Tyrone, IrelandG.1

     He lived at Cornbury Park, Charlbury, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2
