     Alfred Bonham-Carter was born on 18 March 1825.1 He was the son of John Bonham-Carter and Joanna Maria Smith.1 He married Mary Henrietta Norman, daughter of George Warde Norman and Sibella Stone, on 27 May 1879.1 He died on 2 October 1910 at age 85.1
     Alfred Bonham-Carter held the office of Referee of Private Bills, House of Commons between 1866 and 1903.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1900.1

     Alfred Erskine Bonham-Carter was born on 15 December 1880.1 He was the son of Alfred Bonham-Carter and Mary Henrietta Norman.1 He married Margaret Emily Malcolm, daughter of Colonel Edward Donald Malcolm, 16th of Poltalloch and Isabella Wyld Brown, on 27 June 1906.1 He died on 8 February 1921 at age 40.1
     Alfred Erskine Bonham-Carter gained the rank of Captain in the service of the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1
