     Major Guy Richard Tufnell Gillett was born on 5 February 1911 at 1 Clifton Road, Southsea, Hampshire, England.1 He was the son of Colonel Charles Richard Gillett.2 He married Alathea Rachel Constance Talbot-Ponsonby, daughter of Major Arthur Hugh Brabazon Talbot-Ponsonby and Alianore Rachel Howard, on 15 June 1935.2 He died on 29 November 1942 at age 31, killed in action.2
     He fought in the Second World War.2
