Edward Symes Bayly was born on 9 April 1807.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Lambart Bayly and Selina Levinge.1 He married Catherine FitzGerald, daughter of Maurice FitzGerald, 18th Knight of Kerry, on 20 June 1835.1 He died on 26 November 1884 at age 77.1
