     Francis Newman Cory-Wright was born on 21 July 1925.1 He is the son of Ronald Cory-Wright and Geraldyn Mary Villiers-Stuart.2
     Francis Newman Cory-Wright was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1949 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1954 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 15th/19th King's Royal Hussars.1 He lived in 2003 at Oakridge, Little Gaddesden, Hertfordshire, England.1
