Hon. Alice Brand was born in 1840. She was the daughter of Henry Bouverie William Brand, 1st Viscount Hampden and Eliza Ellice. She married Sir Henry Thomas Farquhar, 4th Bt., son of Sir Walter Rockcliffe Farquhar, 3rd Bt. and Lady Mary Octavia Somerset, on 8 July 1862. She died on 20 March 1925.

Thomas Brand, 20th Baron Dacre was born on 25 March 1774 at The Hoo. He was the son of Thomas Brand and Gertrude Trevor Roper, Baroness Dacre. He married Barberina Ogle, daughter of Admiral Sir Chaloner Ogle, 1st Bt. and Hester Thomas, on 4 December 1819. He died on 21 March 1851 at age 76 at The Hoo.
