     James Arthur Dease was born on 30 May 1826.1 He is the son of Gerald Dease and Elizabeth O'Callaghan.1 He married Charlotte Jerningham, daughter of Edmund William Jerningham and Matilda Waterton, on 11 August 1853.1 He died on 5 September 1874 at age 48.1
     James Arthur Dease held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of County Cavan.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Cavan.1 He lived at Turbotston, Mayne, County Westmeath, Ireland.1
