He married, firstly, Jean Barbara Diana Kennerley, daughter of Morley Kennerley, in 1959.1 He married, secondly, Diana P. Gore-Clough, daughter of Raymond Gore-Clough, in 1968.1 He died on 5 August 2010 at age 76.1
