     Brig.-Gen. Henry Frederick Hugh Clifford was born on 13 August 1867.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Hugh Clifford, V.C. and Josephine Elizabeth Anstice.² He died on 11 September 1916 at age 49, killed in action.¹
     Brig.-Gen. Henry Frederick Hugh Clifford fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet Colonel in the service of the Suffolk Regiment.¹ He was Brigadier-General of the British Expeditionary Force.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and mentioed in despatches.¹ He was decorated with the Order of St. Stanislaus of Russia (3rd Class).¹ He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).¹

     Reverend Everard Louis Hugh Clifford was born on 2 June 1871.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Hugh Clifford, V.C. and Josephine Elizabeth Anstice.² He died on 16 December 1935 at age 64.¹
