     Sir Hugh Matthew Fiennes Croft, 12th Bt. was born on 10 May 1874.2 He was the son of Sir Herbert George Denman Croft, 9th Bt. and Georgiana Eliza Lucy Marsh.1 He married Lucy Taylor, daughter of Frederick G. Taylor, on 18 April 1900.2 He died on 15 June 1954 at age 80.2
     Sir Hugh Matthew Fiennes Croft, 12th Bt. succeeded to the title of 12th Baronet Croft, of Croft Castle, co. Hereford [E., 1671] on 15 August 1941.1
