     Major Owen George Scudmore Croft was born on 14 May 1880. He was the son of Sir Herbert George Denman Croft, 9th Bt. and Georgiana Eliza Lucy Marsh. He married Stella Isabel Bouwer, daughter of Nicholas Bouwer, on 4 August 1909. He died on 29 February 1956 at age 75.
